This 99'9" tower with 7' cab and 133 wooden steps is made of 51,000 lbs. of steel. It has been relocated and partially re-fabricated, originally standing along S.R 278 several miles south of Nelsonville, Ohio. It was dismantled in the 1970's and donated to Hocking College. The College removed the bottom half of the tower. In 2007, the tower was reconstructed at its present location for historic interpretation and use in radio communication for the Forest. The bottom half was re-fabricated to restore the tower to its original height.
